Stern magazine’s Thomas Lotz came from Germany to interview Nick Faldo for his piece about Faldo’s position as captain of Europe’s Ryder Cup team. We rode with him to meet Faldo at the Arnold Palmer Invitational armed with the sweetest parking pass to be had.

There is something so satisfying about getting permission to drive onto the golf course at Bay Hill during the tournament. That’s the only way to get to the TV compound where we had to shoot. Carts only? Minivans too, it turns out.

We also came prepared with a joke courtesy of Henrik Stenson who we had just photographed the week before. It was our third time photographing Faldo and the inappropriate outtakes of Henrik (his idea) bought us at least two extra minutes. In case we get to photograph either golfer again, we won’t be posting the images.
