Photographing the Wedding of Sarah O’Hanlan and Ryan Beasley at The Cloister of Sea Island

image

Photographer Tim Zielenbach invited us to help him document several days of festivities culminating in an amazing wedding. The chance to team up with Tim was a great opportunity and when he told us we’d be working at The Cloister of Sea Island, GA, we couldn’t say “yes” fast enough!

Because we had been to The Cloister on a previous assignment for Golf Digest and were familiar with the resort, we expected the event would be of a high caliber. Our expectations were exceeded. The O’Hanlan and Beasley families assembled an all-star team of vendors who were not only a delight to meet and work with, but took their crafts to the next level for the occasion.

Kristin Newman Designs, of Charleston, SC, planned the parties and ceremony in themes that can be best described as “natural romantic.” The ceremony, for example, featured gilded bird cages of various sizes suspended whimsically from the Oak tree branches of the Cloister Garden. Newman’s attention to detail, including her use of letterpress paper elements, was remarkable.

We really enjoyed working with cinematographers Paul and Holley Jackson of Four Seasons Films from Ashville, NC. They seem to have a working dynamic similar to ours and we had a good time sharing vantage points and the occasional water break with them.

Thanks to Tim for including us on this amazing wedding! Click here to view the slide-show he assembled combining our imagery with his own great work.
