With ancient oaks and horse-drawn carriages lining historic Charleston’s cobblestone streets, it seemed a perfect romantic backdrop for the couple’s late October nuptials, which we were honored to photograph.

We had a blast photographing the elegant wedding of Brett Stewart and Meagen Leary in San Francisco.
This wedding had a relaxed, classy feeling that only Californians could pull off so well. The event was held at a restaurant on Ocean Beach called Park Chalet which backs into the fabulous Golden Gate Park.

We had a great time making portraits of Dr. Richie-Melvan for a cover of the alumni magazine of her alma mater. She is remembered at Wagner College as the school’s first black homecoming queen, elected in 1971. Now as a retired Army Col., who has served as a White House Fellow, she is working on a book about army nurses.
