Last November we photographed the emotional reunion of Maja Kazazic and Sally Becker in Tampa. Seventeen years ago Sally, a rescue worker, risked her own life in bringing Maja out of war-torn Bosnia so that Maya could receive adequate care for injuries she’d suffered when a grenade took her legs and threatened her life. The September issue of Good Housekeeping Magazine ran a series of photographs we made during their first encounter since.

We figure there’s something about easy access to some of the best produce, wine and scenery in the world that just sets people moving in the right direction. When Amy Dickinson and Jamey Carman commissioned us to document their wedding on Asilomar State Beach with a reception following at the conference grounds, we were thinking it was going to be amazing. We were right.
