Jim Furyk puts on a Clown Costume for Golf World

It’s always around 5:25pm on a Friday when the text comes across the mobile. “U and Jen available Monday for a shoot in Jax?” One thing we love is pulling off the impossible. We would soon learn that the subject would be Jim Furyk, whom the writer claimed was willing to wear a clown costume for a cover portrait. Now, it’s hard to get a professional golfer of Jim’s caliber to let you take his picture without a sponsor’s shirt or hat on, so after we asked our editor if we had heard him correctly, we got busy. With a short amount of time and limited resources, we hoped to land it in the fairway at least.

We were honored to document the marriage of our good friend Amber Clark to Brian Kelley. The wedding took place at a bed and breakfast near where the bride grew up outside of Cortez, CO. The wedding was characterized by the amazing contributions of the couple’s family and friends, as well as consideration for the planet.

We spent some time camping out West making some scenic imagery for ourselves while en route to a wedding in Southwest Colorado. We started in New Mexico and worked our way over 1300 miles in a not-so-square tour through the four corners region.
